Bumper Month of Racing and Offers at Newton Abbot

PLYMOUTH, U.K. - April 30, 2013 - PRLog -- As May approaches, the racing at Newton Abbot Racecourse heats up with three fixtures a month over the coming months and the start of many of its money saving initiatives.

May 20th sees the first of this year’s Super Monday Specials where racegoers can enjoy two Paddock Enclosure tickets for the price of one, when booked in advance. The two-for-one ticket promotion has been a firm favourite with racing fans in the past and is set to please again this year with a total of five fixtures eligible for the promotion this season.

Alongside the Monday offer, the racecourse will also team up with First Travel Solutions to run a joint ‘racing by train’ promotion for racing fans across the South West for the rest of the season. The advanced purchase promotion allows racegoers to leave the car at home and enjoy a day at the races for less.

As part of the joint scheme, racegoers can enjoy entry to the Paddock Enclosure, a racecard, betting voucher and return train travel from selected stations across the South West from as little as £17 from Ivybridge to £29 from Truro or Taunton.

Patrick Masterson, Managing Director at Newton Abbot Racecourse, said: “At the racecourse May is the month where the season really jumps into full flight. Between May and September we’ll host three fixtures each month, with August seeing a total of four.”

“Throughout the season we’re running a plethora of different promotions to allow a day at the races to be affordable for all. Over the course of the year we have a total of five different ticket offers covering our fixtures. Alongside these, we offer free entry for children and students at every race meeting.”

The two-for-one and ‘racing by train’ promotions are only available when booked at least one week in advance of the relevant fixture. Alongside these two ticket promotions, the racecourse’s other offers include a £10 ticket deal for its richest fixture on Saturday 3 August, two back-to-back evening fixtures for £25 and its Summer Festival Weekend package for £25.
