Roof Grip Access Walkways for Port Elizabeth

The new Kinako Mall in Port Elizabeth has recently had a Roof Grip Access Walkway System installed as an access means for maintenance and cleaning staff to reach to the plant and equipment over the roof sheet area.

Alifab manufactures the RoofGrip Access Walkway System in various widths so that it is ideally suited to this type of installation. The easy to fit product allows for controlled and safe access across the roof space.

The project consisted of installing 300m of 600mm wide access walkway to the Kliploc 406 roof sheet.

The RoofGrip Access Walkway System controls the access to the roof by laying a specific path in the most suitable section of the roof for foot traffic. The product is designed to increase the area of distribution of the load created by cleaners and maintenance crews. This ensures the sheeting overlaps are not damaged and the joints are not disturbed thereby helping the installation to remain in perfect condition for an extended life span.
