Georgia Youth Rugby Association (GYRA) Obtains Non-Profit Status

ATLANTA - May 6, 2013 - PRLog -- The Georgia Youth Rugby Association (GYRA) is pleased to announce that it has been granted tax exempt status by the IRS. This means the GYRA now has Public Charity Status under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code. This new status opens up sponsorship opportunities for the association and their member clubs. Potential sponsors can now support the GYRA through donations of goods or money and claim tax credits for their sponsorship. Their tax exempt status is effective as of May 10, 2012.

Sponsors can either donate to the GYRA directly or earmark specific contributions for a member club of the Association, e.g. Phoenix Rugby Club L.L.C.  The GYRA in turn will pass on the contributions to the individual club retaining a small fee to fund and support the activities of the parent Association.
