LOS ANGELES - May 6, 2013 - PRLog -- Teen pop sensation Kady Richards will perform at the 2013 Boise Music Festival will be held at Expo Idaho from 10am-10pm. You do not want to miss this all-day, family-friendly event that had something for everyone!  Kady Richards will open for Carly Rae Jespen whom she has admired for a long time, "its like a dream come true," says  Kady.

This year's festival lineup includes:

Candlebox

Love Stories & Other Musings, the fifth studio album from Candlebox evidences a new found level of maturity for the band, formed in 1991 in Seattle. At the same time, listening to it with the volume knob cranked up emphatically reveals that frontman Kevin Martin, lead guitarist Peter Klett, drummer Scott Mercado, and their bandmates, remain filled with the youthful exuberance that marked their first go-round in the 1990s, a decade during which they ran off a string of alt-rock classics while selling north of 5 million albums. “At a time when it’s more difficult than ever for bands to find their niche, it’s nice to have more than 20 years of history as a band to draw on,” says Martin. “We don’t have to find our footing—it’s been there the whole time. We’re rebuilding the style and structure of the band, not to reinvent ourselves but, thanks to our growth and the accessibility of the music we’ve been making during the last couple of years, to allow ourselves to reach a new audience.”

No modern-rock band combines aggression, melodicism and towering hooks more authoritatively than the current Candlebox lineup. They’re in peak form throughout Love Stories & Other Musings, from the unbridled dirty blues (as Klett refers to it) “Lifelike Song” to the cascading “Baby Love” and the throbbing, anthemic “Believe in It,” the first single. Subsequently, these longtime compatriots—augmented by two new fulltime members, bassist Adam Kury and guitarist Sean Hennesy—discovered that the time apart and collective personal growth had resulted in enhanced chemistry among them.

Jason Derulo

Following a tumultuous 2012, Miami-born singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor Jason Derulo is gearing up for his comeback. Back in January 2012, Derulo suffered a catastrophic neck injury while rehearsing for a world tour to support his sophomore album Future History. He reveals that the "emotionally draining" accident gave him a greater appreciation for life and his career. "That one experience helped me to grow up in a second," he says. "I was on autopilot. I was going around the world. I was performing. I was just literally going through the motions...When that kind of thing is taken away from you, you realize how much you appreciate what you love doing and who you love."

His third album hit stores this past fall. "I spent a year working on this album, and it's become my best work thus far by far," he says of the release. "I wanted to make a record that I wanted to listen to all the time. Not just this year, not just next year, but for a long time."

Carly Rae Jepsen

Although she’s been an established artist in her native Canada for several years — with a third-place finish on Canadian Idol, two gold singles, two albums, and two Juno Award nominations to her name — singer and songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen was a virtual unknown in the U.S. until February 2012 when fellow Canadian Justin Bieber began tweeting about a song he had heard on the radio while home for Christmas vacation — an irresistible track Jepsen had co-written called “Call Me Maybe.”

In February 2012, Jepsen released Curiosity, a six-song EP that showcased a poppier sound than she had delivered on the folk-flavored Tug of War. Following her instincts paid off. “Call Me Maybe,” which Jepsen says is about “that spark you feel when you lock eyes with someone you like for the first time,” has been certified double-platinum in Canada, where it hit No. 1 on the Hot 100 and became the first song by a Canadian artist to top the digital chart since Bieber’s “Baby.” The song also gave Jepsen the thrill of knowing that her songs can connect with a wide audience.Thousands of fans came out to enjoy the sunshine at the 4th annual Boise Music Festival with it's debut new home, Expo Idaho. Fans got a chance to meet many of their favorite performers such as Vicci Martinez and James Durbin. The night cooled off as the sun went down to Kellie Pickler, Smash Mouth, and LL Cool J taking the stage! Check out the video and see all the fun that was had!
