Inspirational African-American Leaders of New York event, is an event recognizing individuals impeccably committed to uplifting communities across the great city of New York. Wednesday, May 8th, 2013 at Lair NYC.
 
NEW YORK - May 6, 2013 - PRLog -- Inspirational African-American Leaders of New York event, is an event recognizing individuals impeccably committed to uplifting communities across the great city of New York. Honorees lead in the areas of small business, entertainment, legal, fashion, arts, and nonprofit management, and posses a notable dedication to issues that affect New Yorkers as a whole. Guests will enjoy special live music performances, enjoy specialty cocktails at Lair NYC from Chef Chris Cheung, renowned New York restaurant veteran. This event is proud to partner with leading businesses in New York to promote, assist, and incubate African American business owners. The Inspirational African-American Leaders of New York event is proud to benefit, ProjectArt, an NYC-based free arts education organization that allows youth to create art without limits (www.projectart.org), with guests being able to make a direct donation to the organization while in attendance. Special speeches will compliment the evening, providing true inspiration to rising entrepreneurs.

The NYAACC (www.nyaacc.org) serves as an advocate for the creation, growth and general welfare of African American businesses in the New York community. The NYAACC actively promotes the expansion of business opportunities on behalf of its membership through referrals, partnerships, seminars, technical assistance and marketing. The NYAACC focuses on economic and business development, education, convention/tourism and special projects.

ProjectArt is an award-winning organization developing a new model of arts education, one that allows youth to actualize their artistic visions while building their self-esteem and advance as all-around achievers. In two years, ProjectArt’s year-round, after-school visual arts education program has served hundreds while it's advocacy initiative Walk the Talk, has brought awareness for the critical need of arts education, to hundreds of thousands of people. ProjectArt was founded by Adarsh Alphons in 2010.
