Michael Schumacher has Been Named Mercedes-Benz Ambassador of Safety

Schumacher has won more Formula One championships than any driver in history. He has won a total of seven World Championships, 91 victories, and 68 pole positions, making him one of the most accomplished racecar drivers ever, and one of the foremost authorities on performance vehicles.

Of his decision to sign on for the position with Mercedes-Benz, Schumacher said, "The future interests me much more than the present and past,” noting that he always relied on the technology available to him in his facing vehicle. On the same point, he said, “That is why I am a declared supporter of driving assistance systems both in the racing car and in the road-going car."
