Follow on Google News | Coleman and Rodriguez-Lagonia Appointed to Hudson Valley Hospital’s Foundation BoardAppointed to the Foundation Board were Jim Coleman, Director of Westchester County’s Industrial Development Agency, and Health Professional Loretta Rodriguez-Lagonia. “It’s very exciting to have two such distinguished community members join the Foundation’s Board of Directors,’’ said John C. Federspiel, President of Hudson Valley Hospital Center. “We really look forward to working with Jim and Loretta as the Hospital enters a new era of growth and expansion.’’ Coleman, a former Chief of Staff for State Senator Greg Ball, is a businessman and accomplished fundraiser. He has had a long and distinguished career working for a number of large corporations including PepsiCo, Altria and American Express where he was responsible for business development, sales, consulting and marketing. In March, Coleman was appointed as head of the county’s IDA and is charged with helping to lead the county’s economic development efforts by offering incentives to businesses to relocate to the county or to expand their facilities. A native of Lexington, Kentucky, he still owns the family farm, Coleman Crest, which has been in his family since 1888. He is a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Mount Vernon and lives with his wife in Eastchester. Rodriguez-Lagnonia is an adjunct professor at Mercy College where she serves as distance learning instructor for Master of Science/Organizational Leadership. She also works as an executive administrator for the Lagonia Law Office in Yorktown Heights. Rodriguez-Lagonia has served as an administrator for a number of healthcare organizations, including The Bronx Health Link, and has acted as a consultant specializing in education and e-communications. She is a member of the Yorktown Lions Club and serves as Yorktown Community Emergency Response Team Coordinator and is a board member of ASK (Alliance for Safe Kids). The Foundation is the fundraising arm of the Hudson Valley Hospital Center and works with the community to support the Hospital and its services. Hudson Valley Hospital Center is continuing raise funds to pay for the construction, technology and furnishing of a state of the art Cheryl R. Lindenbaum Comprehensive Cancer Center. This campaign is managed by the hospital’s Foundation Board and a Campaign Steering Committee comprised of local and regional leaders. Building on Excellence Phase II, follows the successful $16 million campaign for the hospital’s $100 million major expansion and renovation program that was completed in June 2010.
