Children's Services Qualifications More Important than Ever

May 26, 2013 - PRLog -- With such a strong emphasis now being placed on children’s social and emotional well-being, through the implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework educators working in children’s services need to reflect upon their practices, their environment and interactions with children and critically evaluate whether they are supporting children’s well-being in meaningful, purposeful and authentic ways.

Kirsty Fantini, goes on to say that “Australian research conducted by the Australian Government in 2012 indicates that over 4% of children aged from 18 months to 14 years have mental health problems such as anxiety, social withdrawal and/or depression. This is obviously alarming and emphasises the importance of our role as educators during the most influential developmental period, the 0-5 age group”.
