Modern Dog Magazine Roots for Dog of The Week: "Maddox" Missing Miniature Pinscher from OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY - May 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Maddox is a very special male miniature pinscher who was lost Christmas Eve night while visiting Oklahoma City from Los Angeles.

Maddox is loyal, dedicated and loving to his owners Jackie and Brandon Vestal. Jackie and Brandon are just as loyal, dedicated and loving to their baby Maddox.

Jackie & Maddox's story is inspirational to all who understand the unconditional love our pets give us throughout hard times. Jackie has been forced to leave OKC and go back to LA to finance the cost of the continued search for Maddox, but she does not intend on giving up.

Jackie and Maddox's relationship and unconditional love now inspires "Team Maddox", a group of 30+ people who continue the search in Oklahoma City while Jackie Vestal coordinates from Los Angeles.

Team Maddox is comprised of a group of business owners, pet owners, mothers, fathers, single, married, college students and retirees who formed through Facebook and have developed a group dedicated to searching, sharing, attending events, visiting shelters, going on sighting calls and knocking on doors to bring Maddox home.

Jennifer Stephenson, Professional Services Executive for a local Oklahoma City home health company joined Team Maddox several months ago.

"I began following Maddox's story on Facebook and I've always been a big advocate for animals. I felt a connection to Jackie's story; what would happen if I lost my pet?" said Stephenson. "My initial thought was: I can't just read and not do anything, she can't cover all of Oklahoma alone. I wanted to be an active member so she could cover more areas. I monitor feeding stations, go out on possible sightings and sharing information about Maddox. This group has brought some really neat people together who all share compassion and love of animals. Our personalities are all so different; yet, we are all experiencing this search together."

Maddox is a 12lb neutered male miniature pinscher dog, black & tan with cropped ears & docked tail. When he went missing he was wearing a collar and tags. Maddox is also micro-chipped.
