Lisa Esser-Weidenfeller to Serve as Chief Judge of the Awards & Subgrants Team for the ABA

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - May 30, 2013 - PRLog -- SOUTHFIELD, MI –Sommers Schwartz P.C., a leading contingency fee litigation law firm, is pleased to announce that Lisa Esser-Weidenfeller has been appointed to serve as Chief Judge of the Awards & Subgrants Team by the American Bar Association (ABA) Young Lawyers Division.

Ms. Esser-Weidenfeller will serve a one year term and will oversee the Young Lawyers Division’s public and member service subgrants program which is designed to promote quality public service projects and bar leadership. Ms. Esser-Weidenfeller is a shareholder at Sommers Schwartz, P.C., where she concentrates her practice in the areas of medical malpractice, birth injury and wrongful death.

Ms. Esser-Weidenfeller earned her Juris Doctor degree, summa cum laude, from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and her Bachelor Degree in Finance from Western Michigan University. She joined Sommers Schwartz as an associate attorney in 2007.
