Starkey Mortgage Expands Builder Services Division to North Carolina, East Region

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - May 31, 2013 - PRLog -- Leading U.S. news sources, such as CNN Money and Forbes.com, have listed North Carolina cities amongst the top five housing markets in the country. Starkey Mortgage (WR Starkey Mortgage, LLP NMLSR# 2146), a full-service mortgage banking company with over 40 branches in eight states, has responded to the North Carolina housing market uptick by expanding their Builder Services Division to support homebuilders throughout North Carolina.

Texas-headquartered Starkey Mortgage has worked alongside community builders and homebuyers through the economic collapse and recognizes that many small to mid-size builders do not have the in-house resources or marketing departments they require to help them effectively market their communities. In response to this unfulfilled niche, Starkey Mortgage created its Builders Services program, which will offer professional marketing assistance to small builders so they can engage in effective social media, digital, and print marketing efforts to attract new home owners.

Watt joined Starkey Mortgage in June 2010 to lead and grow the region in new Business Development and Recruitment. She is responsible for increasing revenue annually by maximizing and enhancing relationships amongst Alliance Partners and Builders. Watt also helps to provide a blanket of support for Branch Managers, Loan Officers, Sales and Operational staff.

“The new home market has seen exceptional growth nationwide, especially in North Carolina where new home starts and housing prices are on the rise. We are excited to be able to offer additional support to homebuilders throughout the state,” Watt explained. The North Carolina Association of Realtors reports that home sales through the end of March rose 22% compared to a year ago.  Prices also increased, up 7% from 2012. Residential building permits issued in Mecklenburg County have increased more than 300% since 2011 in both number and dollar value.
