Follow on Google News | Move Over Nancy Drew! Jan & Jenny Have Arrived!Teens and preteens should get ready for some fun! Jan and Jenny are two girls who are just like any other two best friends except for one little thing, mystery and adventure are their middle names!
“This is a great adventure book series about two best friends, written by lifelong friends who grew up together in San Diego, California” says Penny D. Weigand, attorney and CEO of Bellissima Publishing, LLC. “This series is the new Nancy Drew Series of our time,” Weigand adds. The first book in the series, “The Mystery On Burgundy Street,” refers the reader to the San Diego, California locale, and will captive young readers as the two heroines, Jan and Jenny, rescue contraband illegal endangered species big cats. They have some help from an old couple that live nearby, the Hufflefingers, who used to work undercover in the big war and who were in charge of the carrier pigeons, graduating from that to FBI undercover agents. Penelope Dyan is an attorney, an award winning author and a former teacher. Two of her books are on display at the Sasion Poetry Library in London, UK; and her book “Surfer Girl’ is winner of best teen book at both the 2008 New York Book Festival and the 2008 Hollywood Book Festival. “Surfer Girl” is ranked fifth on the AU Pukeke Reading List and is recognized by the Girls Voices In Literature Datatbase, Miami University, Florida. The “Surfer Girl Book Series” is a part of the special surfing books collection at SDSU. Pamela Hillan is a twenty year veteran court reporter which makes a perfect combination for this mystery/adventure series. “We want to give kids a reason to read,” Weigand says.
