Dancers Workshop Press Release for intermediate release

Dancers Workshop will begin classes their summer session with a wide variety of dance activities of all ages and interests. Classes run June 10th through August 9th for students entering 2nd grade, through adults.  Classes are divided by age and ability and payment is structured as a 'drop-in' style, with a class class cards for convenience.

Weekly themed KidsDance Camps are for the novice dancer ages 3-10 (http://www.dancersworkshopaustin.com/kidsdance-summer-camps-and-programs/). Half Day (9a-1pm) is for ages 3-5 that have not completed kinder.  Children who have completed kindergarten up through age 10 stay from 9-5p.  Full day dancers have options for childcare from 7:30am-6pm.  Classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and arts and crafts culminate in an exciting, fully costumed performance on Friday night for parents and guests. Dance shoes and costumes are provided by the dance studio.

For students entering 2nd-7th grade (http://www.dancersworkshopaustin.com/kidsdance-summer-cam...), with previous dance experience, we have two different "Diversity" camps with a variety of classes and teachers. This a week long 9-5 workshop of ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary and leaps and turns.The week ends with a Friday evening performance.

Many of our 7th grade and older dancers are interested in Drill Team training. (http://www.dancersworkshopaustin.com/drill-team-master-cl...)  We offer an outstanding week of instruction by a former a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader, former Kilgore Rangerettes, a Radio City Rockette, and several current drill directors from the Austin area.  All aspects of technique needed for Drill Team tryouts are included as well as a mock audition to give the dancers feedback.

Our V.I.B.E. (http://www.dancersworkshopaustin.com/vibe-summer-intensive/) convention is for advanced dancers only for dancers entering 6th grade and up.  It is available by invitation or audition only.  Teachers from Los Angeles as well as our staff conduct this workshop, lasting one week from 9-5.

Then, we have a variety of Summer Convention Series that are two day workshops from 1:30-5 that are concentrated by subject. Dancers may choose from " Turns and Jumps", " Lyrical and Jazz", " Contemporary and Modern".  These workshops are designed for dancers entering 4th grade and up and classes will be divided by age and ability.

The Ballet Boot Camp is an exciting workshop for experienced dancers entering 3rd grade and up.  3-4th graders stay from 1-5, while older dancers stay from 9am-5pm.  The week includes challenging teachers, classical training, strength and conditioning, along with contemporary and other master classes.  Pointe work is offered for those with previous experience.
