Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle Joins the HACC in Honoring Fathers

 
CHICAGO - June 12, 2013 - PRLog -- --- On Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 2:30 pm, Cook County Board President, Toni Preckwinkle will join the Housing Authority of Cook County (HACC) at the HACC's Vera Yates Homes, located at 1055 Berkeley in Ford Heights, IL, to celebrate fatherhood with the housing authority at its second annual Father’s Day jamboree.

   “We want to make sure that Father’s Day is a special day for all dads and kids. This gives us a chance to celebrate community involvement, and have fun with kids, young and old”, says the HACC’s Executive Director, Richard Monocchio. Last year’s event brought out over 100 participants, who enjoyed a game of basketball, food, music, raffles, and much more.

The Housing Authority of Cook County is a municipal corporation established in 1946 to serve 126 communities, as well as unincorporated areas in suburban Cook County. As the second largest provider of affordable housing in the State of Illinois, the Housing Authority of Cook County’s mission is to promote affordable housing, economic opportunity, and a suitable living environment free from discrimination throughout suburban Cook County.
