Park Center Hosts Wish List Drive

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - June 13, 2013 - PRLog -- Park Center’s Young Leaders Council is hosting a Wish List Drive during the month of June. Items from the Wish List below assist individuals with mental illness and co-occurring disorders as they move into housing or transition from street to shelter.

Wish List items include: gift cards to stores like Wal-Mart, Target, Dollar General, gas stations ($10 & up); shampoo, soap, deodorant, hand sanitizer (small & large bottles); toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss; new underwear (men’s & women’s, all sizes); new and gently worn tennis shoes (men’s & women’s, all sizes); bottled water; sunscreen and bug spray; backpacks; non-perishable snacks and food; paper products (paper towels, toilet paper).

Items can be delivered to the following locations: Park Center (801 12th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37203 from 9am-1pm) or First Tennessee Bank (965 Woodland Street, Nashville, TN 37206 from 8:30am-5pm)

Park Center offers individuals with mental illness and co-occurring disorders of mental illness and substance use a caring place to heal, to find a home and receive the information and training they need to become self-sufficient and thriving members of their community. Park Center believes that recovery from mental illness and co-occurring disorders is possible. Park Center currently serves over 700 individuals per month.
