If you want to use it same as Derrick, SWACO shale shakers, you have to know how to operate GN shale shaker firstly, including the maintenance. Hereunder, 3 points to give your good instructions.

1. loosen the rubber spring.

When you receive GN shaker, the first step is to loose the rubber spring. We have to fasten the deck during shipment for safety. So if you forget this step, you may find some problem after you start the shaker.

2. adjust the angle

When delivered, the deck is horizontal (0°).The angle can be adjusted both under running and off condition. While operating with the same shaker screen, adjust the deck angle in order to improve the treatment result according to the worksite mud property, and feeding capacity. When the drilling mud run off, you can enlarge the deck angle to solve the problem.  

3. Pool configuration

The best pool configuration is when the mud covers the first and second shaker screen. A better pool configuration can maximize the screen area and such achieve better result. It is hard to set the deck angle at one time; it needs the operation personnel adjusting several times according to the flow of the mud.

4. Tension the shaker screen

The proper tension is much importance with the lifetime of the shaker screen, not too loose or too tight. To make the installation and uninstall more easily, GN designed fast installation structure. The structure is a special type use tension wedge to fix screen. The first time screen installation, you should inspect the screen dimension, After fixed rubber strip, then put screen, shelve strip from shaker back (drilling fluid input), and push wedge evenly on two sides use hammer to push or tension wedges, make two sides identical. Tension each screens subsequently.
