John Dunn is an accomplished business and sales executive, proud family man and committed member of his community.

        Born and raised in Mississauga, Ontario, John studied at Wilfred Laurier University, and graduated with an Honours degree in Business Administration. In 1969-70, John served as president of the business school (Tamiae).

John held a number of distinguished roles over his 40-year career. Starting out as a sales representative in 1972, John rose to become a vice president and branch manager at Nesbitt Burns.

Following a major car accident in 2001, John spent the next four years convalescing. Thanks to the support of his family, doctors and community, John has made a full recovery.

John is a past Chairman of the Credit Valley Hospital Foundation and a former member of the Board of Directors of the United Way and Wilfrid Laurier Alumni. He has been an active member of the Streetsville Lions Club for over 40 years, has held every major office, and was president in 1985-86. He is currently Chairman of the Governor’s Cup Golf Tournament (proceeds to Credit Valley and Trillium Hospitals) and President of the Streetsville Secondary School Alumni Association. John is also a retired elder from St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Streetsville.

John and his wife Patti have been married for over 40 years. They have three children, Jacqui, Jennifer and Michael. They are proud grandparents of five grandchildren, Lucas, Elliot. Hanna, Carter and Kennedy.
