The New 2014 Chevrolet Silverado High Country Is Revealed

VALPARAISO, Ind. - June 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Team Chevrolet is happy to announce that Chevrolet has finally unveiled the new high end Silverado pickup. The 2014 Chevy Silverado (http://www.teamchevyinc.com/2014-Chevrolet-Silverado) is set to get a number of refinements, and one of those is the brand new High Country trim, which takes over the top spot. The High Country trim will include both luxury and performance features, and will join the LTZ and Z71 trims at the top of the Chevy pickup lineup. The High Country will ship later this year and pricing has yet to be released.

The new High Country "will be the top model in the Silverado lineup, with a higher level of premium features and materials with a rich, Western-themed appearance," said Maria Rohrer, the marketing director for the Silverado.

Some features that will set the High Country apart from the rest of the lineup include a unique chrome grille, with distinctive horizontal chrome bars, different body colored bumpers, and halogen projector head lights. Chrome is a running theme in the High Country, and the 20 inch wheels, door handles, mirrors, and side body accents will also sport the material.

The Inside of the High Country will feature saddle brown leather throughout. Heated, cooled, and perforated leather sets, with custom badging, are also standard. In terms of technology, the Silverado High Country will get the latest Chevy MyLink system, along with an eight inch touch screen, and a Bose sound system. Parking assist both front and rear is also standard.

Under the hood the High Country will get the brand new Ecotec3, a 5.3L V8 that is good for 355 hp. A 6.2L version of the Ecotec3 will also be available, though the output of that engine has yet to be announced. The standard engine is set to achieve a class leading mileage estimate of 23 mpg in the city.
