America's Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration - 2013

A National Three-Day Event in Plymouth, MA Celebrating the History of Thanksgiving November 22nd- 23rd- 24th, 2013
 
PLYMOUTH, Mass. - July 8, 2013 - PRLog -- America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration will take place again on the weekend before Thanksgiving in Plymouth, MA, site of the first Thanksgiving.  For more than a decade, hundreds of thousands of people have made the pilgrimage to Downtown Plymouth to experience a bounty of authentic Americana.

A free Patriotic Concert Friday evening, November 22nd kicks off featuring A Nationally Recognized Patriotic Band and Tribute

This is made possible thru the support from the Plymouth Industrial Development Corporation.

On Saturday, November 23rd the Grand Parade winds along Plymouth’s Historic Waterfront at 10:30 am.  The Parade begins with a military flyover followed by the only chronologically ordered parade in the country. Enjoy the day along the Plymouth Waterfront visiting the Crafter’s Pavilion, the Children’s Learning Center and be sure to sample the food and cast your vote at The New England Food Festival. Enjoy a walk thru the authentic “ Portal to the Past” showcasing historical reenactments and special events for everyone.

Stop by The Wampanoag Educational Pavilion.  Join us for an interactive lesson about Native American history and culture. We end this amazing celebration with the Drum and Bugle Corps “Reunion Concert” at Plymouth Memorial Hall at 7:00pm. Tickets available on www.usathanksgiving.com.

The Makepeace Farms Harvest Market kicks off on Sunday, November 24th along the Plymouth Waterfront, with the return of the Crafter’s Pavilion, and the Children’s Learning Center.
