OAK LAWN, Ill. - July 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Happy Hyundai in Oak Lawn (http://www.myhappyhyundai.com/Welcome) is pleased to announce that the 2015 Hyundai Genesis will be unveiled early next year at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, also known as the North American International Auto Show. This is not the next generation of the luxury sedan, but it is a relatively major update. The 2015 Genesis will have some new features for the model, including an all-wheel drive option.

The new 2015 Hyundai Genesis probably won’t arrive at dealerships like Happy Hyundai until late next year, but buyers are already looking forward to it. It will continue to evolve stylistically in the Hyundai fluidic sculpture design language. It will also boast a more refined interior, sportier handling, and more. The design of the new Genesis will likely be influenced by the HCD-14 Genesis concept, which was unveiled at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show.

The 2014 Hyundai Genesis is aimed squarely at compete with German luxury brands that offer all-wheel drive. CEO of BMW of North America, Ludwig Willisch, told Edmunds that “about 50 percent of the BMWs sold in the United States are equipped with all-wheel drive and that the number is expected to grow.” Hyundai is aiming to make inroads with drivers seeking these kinds of vehicles.

The all-wheel-drive option will be a first for the Genesis, but not for Hyundai — the Tucson and Santa Fe have both been available with all-wheel drive for some time. Hyundai will likely keep the rear-wheel-drive Genesis available for drivers who appreciate the handling characteristics of that configuration.

Hyundai hasn’t let much else slip about the latest Genesis, but it will no doubt be equipped with updated high-tech safety and communications features. Until Hyundai releases more information at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, enthusiasts and journalists alike will be left to speculate.

To drive the current 2013 Hyundai Genesis, interested buyers can visit Happy Hyundai, a leading Chicago area Hyundai dealer (http://www.myhappyhyundai.com/HoursAndDirections?siteMapI...), at 1001 S. Cicero Ave. in Oak Lawn, IL. Happy Hyundai carries the current Hyundai lineup as well as a large inventory of pre-owned vehicles, and provides drivers with high-quality maintenance and repair services six days a week.
