Exotic Voyages Launch Charity Campaign For Former Street Children In Cambodia

HANOI, Viet Nam - July 13, 2013 - PRLog -- As a responsible luxury travel agent in helping local community to develop sustainably, Exotic Voyages has got many good results in programs for community in Vietnam. Recently, they have just launched another campaign for former street children in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Continuing their great concern for children, Exotic Voyages will spend their time, efforts, and money again to create better lives for a group of children in Siem Reap, who used to live and beg on the streets.


As Siem Reap is a featured destination in many luxury tours of Exotic Voyages since the very first days, the travel company is always nourishing a plan to do something for local people here. However, this is the first chance they implement a charity program forSiem Reap. The idea for this campaign came by accident when Andy Carroll, the Global Sales and Marketing Manager of Exotic Voyages came across the story of a charity project named Green Gecko Project  via one of his friend in Siem Reap. The emotional and incredible story of Green Gecko Project immediately made him moved and inspired. Green Gecko Project is built by an Australian woman named Tania Palmer and a Cambodian man RemPoum, they support over 70 children who previously lived and begged on the streets of Siem Reap. This couple has made their lives with the kids since 2005, they provide security, education, love and opportunities to these children through their formative years and into their adult lives, empowering them to achieve their full potential.The project also supports the children's families and the broader community through long term health, education and training initiatives.This is one of millions of charity stories in the world, but it’s a great sample of a very practical project, which “really” changed the lives of the beggar kids forever.

And the Exotic Voyages’ Charity Campaign is created right after this. Andy has registered to the Angkor Half Marathon 2013 to run for the kids of Green Gecko. During the time to prepare for the harsh marathon, Andy and his Exotic Voyages team are running a fundraising program and planning many events to help promote the half marathon and the charity project. They are also creating a unique tour of which a portion of the money will be given to the charity. This will give travelers a great way to support a charity whilst taking their own luxury trip to Asia. Hopefully this will include time helping local people to see the day to day running in accordance with the Green Gecko’s rules.
