CLEARWATER, Fla. - July 12, 2013 - PRLog -- Derek had studied aerospace engineering in college and had then moved into management consulting. Since both his parents were chiropractors, they called upon him to help with the management of their practice. The original software provided tools for billing, scheduling, and practice management. At first aimed at chiropractic, the software now serves physical therapy, speech therapy, acupuncture, pediatrics and multi-disciplinary offices.

Derek Greenwood, Founder and CEO of EON Systems, began with organizing and reorganizing that office until the flow was smooth and direct for the administrator, the practitioner, and the patient. In creating the software, he developed it to retain the same efficiency as an office, requiring as few mouse clicks as possible while flowing along correctly with a successful office. He coined the term Flow Sensitiveä to describe this.

As Derek moved more deeply into software design and out into sales, Rose Greenwood, now President of EON, started picking up aspects of running the day to day operations. From there EON evolved, creating the leading edge of practice management software as they went. This went so far as to have programming written for a computer mouse.

Then the demand for Electronic Health Records hit the industry, and Derek and Rose went into hyperdrive. There were thirty new regulations requiring software. The team at EON met the challenge and the deadline, passing certification on their first attempt. Derek stated, "I want the software that I design to provide superlative function for healthcare providers so they can spend more time with their patients."
