FULL STEAM AHEAD! the runnymede-on-thames is the first to welcome HotTug to UK waters

July 18, 2013 - PRLog -- 18 July 2013 – Is it a boat? Is it a mini-swimming pool? Is it a jacuzzi? No! This is the hottest ride of the year: say hello to the UK’s very first HotTug, coming exclusively to the runnymede-on-thames hotel this month. This will be the first and only HotTug available for rent in the UK.

The latest export from the Netherlands, HotTug combines the best of two watery worlds – a relaxing soak in a hot tub and a cruise along the hotel’s picturesque stretch of the River Thames.

Rather than cooling off – or catching a cold – from the chilly waters of the Thames, guests can strip down to their swimming costumes, and launch from the runnymede’s private mooring for a hot dip in the water like never before.

A wood fired boat-cum-hot-tub, this ingenious little vessel is the newest, and most quirky way of bobbing along the River Thames. The brain child of Dutch designer Frank de Bruijn, the HotTug uses a specially developed wood-burning stove to keep the water a balmy 38°C, and a silent electric engine to send up to six soakers merrily downstream.

Summer at the runnymede-on-thames is all about riverside living. The hotel’s two restaurants have extensive riverside terraces for al fresco dining, while there’s also a glam outdoor pool, tennis courts, landscaped gardens with bean bags and garden games, kid’s play centre and gym trail with the HotTug being the newest addition for summer 2013.

What better way to explore the River Thames in the sunshine this summer?

The HotTug will be available for use by a maximum of 6 guests* of the runnymede-on-thames as a self-drive boat, a self-drive hot tub, or as a floating hot tub on the hotel’s mooring.
HotTug is priced @ £90 for an hour on weekdays, and £120 an hour at weekends, subject to availability.  *for adults and children aged 12 years and above accompanied by adults

Overnight stays at the runnymede-on-thames are from £169 at the weekend per double room per night inclusive of breakfast
