Honda Factory Performance Package Now Available on the Honda Accord V6

ORLAND PARK, Ill. - July 22, 2013 - PRLog -- First shown for the 2013 Honda Accord at the 2012 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, the limited-edition Honda Factory Performance package is now available for the Honda Accord V6 Coupe. The Accord Coupe, which already features a sporty-design, adds more dynamics and styling, making it the sportiest Accord model available today.

Originally announced that the HFP would be available on both the four-cylinder and V6 Accords, this package will only be available on the V6 edition, for now. Honda announced that the price of the HFP will be $4,620, which does not include installation. This is $30 less than what was previously mentioned at SEMA and includes a 3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty when purchased with a new Accord. There will only be 500 of these upgraded Accord Coupes sold to the public and they are expected to be on sale soon.

The Honda Factory Performance package offers owners a full sport-tuned suspension, which lowers the height of the vehicle by 15mm, both for looks and handling purposes; 19-inch HFP alloy wheels; front, side, and rear underbody spoilers; HFP customized floor mats; red interior lighting; customized badges; and a decklid spoiler.

Lee Niffenegger, program senior engineer at Honda Performance Development, said that the HFP package takes the new Accord Coupe V6 to “a new level.” Niffenegger added that this package “provides more controlled body motions and enhanced stability.”

According to a Car and Driver test, the V6 Accord Coupe can travel from 0 to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds. This Honda vehicle has the capability to keep pace with automobiles from manufacturers such as Infiniti and Lexus.
