Through our work with ‘Designing Spaces of Hope - Project Homeward Bound,’ we are able to thank and assist members of the U.S. Armed Forces,” The 2,300 square-foot, ranch-style house will be completely transformed into a dream home for the Taylors, thanks to the generous donations of extraordinary partners who will be part of the home’s transformation including: USAA, who is dedicated to the financial well-being of members of the military and their families, Earthcore Industries, LLC, Goodman Global, Inc, Interlogix, Liberty Safe and Security Products, Inc., Lifelock, Inc., Lifetime Products, Inc., Reliance Worldwide, Shaw Industries, Inc., Standard Furniture Manufacturing Company, Inc., and Tracfone Wireless, Inc. Several other companies donated hardware, fixtures, interior furnishings and structural goods to make this dream home come true. "We are pleased to have partnered with Designing Spaces to provide Army PFC Jeffery Taylor and his family with the dream of home ownership and to enable them to be in the first home they have ever owned that is beautifully decorated, furnished and ready for them to build a future in the community. Jeffery Taylor served our country in Iraq and did not return unharmed. Together we have helped him and his family heal. We wish them every success as they rebuild their lives for the service and sacrifice made on our behalf," said Purple Heart Home Co-founder John Gallina. Private First Class Taylor was critically injured during the Operation Iraqi Freedom invasion when his crew’s vehicle came under mortar attack just outside the Bagdad Airport, causing it to roll over into a canal and trap Jeff under it. Rescued but left with a crushed leg, Jeff also lives with nerve damage, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and hearing loss. Project Homeward Bound is dedicated to raise awareness about disabled veterans coming home who are suffering from PSTD, (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and the sacrifice they have made for our country.
