Follow on Google News | San Diego Seafood Restaurant Continues Its Winning Ways! This San Diego seafood restaurant continues to win praise and awards from its customers. After capturing several awards earlier this year from The Community News Group, they have been voted as the best place to have breakfast by their fans.
Earlier this year Red Sails Inn won the following awards: · The Readers Choice Award · Gold medal for Breakfast · Silver medal for dinner · Silver medal for patio dining · Silver medal for steaks · Silver medal for best bar The owner, Bill Dargitz, says that, “anytime you win an award that is voted on by the public, it has special meaning and is confirmation of our efforts to provide good food and service.” Red Sails Inn opened its doors in 1957 under the ownership of Jack Davis and was bought by Rick Hills and Jack Dargitz in 1962. Bill moved from Seattle 18 years ago and took over the reins to manage and continue the great reputation established by Rick and Jack. Sometimes when a restaurant is taken over by the second generation, you see a decline in quality and service. That’s certainly not the case here. As seen by the above awards, Red Sail Inn, under the management of Bill Dargitz, continues its winning ways with awards in several categories. Although known as a fine seafood restaurant, they are also known for Breakfast, Dinner, Patio Dining, Steaks and their Bar. In the past several months Bill has added comfort food and locally brewed beer. Next year’s awards should be awesome as well. Located on Shelter Island in the Point Loma area of San Diego, Red Sails offers the perfect place to enjoy fine dining with a great setting. On the patio you can view luxury yachts just a few feet away. Actually, Shelter Island is surrounded by luxury yachts. When you’re through dining you can take a short walk to the bay where you can see Coronado Island and the Naval Air base. If you walk along the bay you can see a Submarine base just across the bay. Just a short drive from Red Sails Inn is the Cabrillo National Monument commemorating the landing of Juan Rodriquez Cabrillo in San Diego Bay in 1542. The national monument is full of rich history that can be enjoyed by all ages and the view is spectacular. Shelter Island itself is a great place to visit, but when you add a first class San Diego Seafood Restaurant, it is truly worth the trip. You can find Red Sails Inn at 2614 Shelter Island Dr., San Diego, CA 92106. If you would like more information visit their website at: http://www.theredsails.com/ End
