Radio Program “Ask The Pastor,” Co-Hosts Simmons and Lyons Celebrate Anniversary Broadcast!

HOUSTON - July 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Houston, TX – This Thursday will celebrate the first anniversary of the live radio talk show, “Ask The Pastor.” Hosted by James Simmons and Pastor Charles Lyons, Ph.D., the program has experienced dynamic and significant audience growth in this first year.

“We are truly excited by the way God has blessed and to be able to talk with listeners and guests through this special platform. We continue to be blessed by God in the best possible of ways, with people.” Those are the words of Charles Lyons, Ph.D. who co-hosts the program which is carried weekly on BlogTalkRadio.

James Simmons, the other member of the co-hosting team of “Ask The Pastor,” shares in that enthusiasm. He recently stated, “It has been an incredible opportunity to not only share the lessons of the Bible with our listeners, but to also speak with successful Christians in various professions!” The two men are in complete agreement that the opportunity to build the program and the steady increase in listeners is a labor of love blessed by God.

They have promoted the program with no advertising budget and simple word of mouth promotion and of course social media. The variety and impact has been exciting to experience. In the past 12 months they have taken live callers, done remote broadcasting from other states, and interviewed successful individuals as diverse as a retired Army Chaplain to the curator of a specialized museum, from Christian writer, editor and humorist James Watkins to movie director and producer Rich Christiano. The program was also the platform to announce a new film that will be released in 2014.

The blessings have not been limited to the spiritual realm, although the two co-hosts give God the credit for all successes. Just two months ago the management of BlogTalkRadio informed them that because of the quality of production and the responsiveness of the listening audience, the “Ask The Pastor,” program, produced by “WriteLyons,” will be a regular “Featured Program” of the station. The program’s ability to hold this status is driven by Simmons and Lyons’ continued commitment to quality and the listening audience.

The growth appears to be continuing as more people find out about the program. Listeners are the advertising of the show.
