By: Ask The Pastor Now Radio "What makes Charlie particularly exciting is his command of Texas history and ability to passionately communicate people and events in such a way as to captivate the listener." Those are the words of Charles Lyons, Ph.D. who co-hosts a most unusual program called "Ask The Pastor Now" carried weekly on BlogTalkRadio. Dr. Lyons was excited to announce that they will have Charlie Fogarty, entrepreneur, restaurateur and Texas Historian on their program Thursday night August 18th for an interview. James Simmons is the other member of the co-hosting team of "Ask The Pastor Now," and he shares in that excitement. At a recent meeting he stated, "Charlie Fogarty shares history in a way that allows you to feel the breeze coming across the battle field one moment and next smell the aromas coming up from the table as he describes Sam Houston having dinner with other leaders of the Texas Republic so many years ago." Thursday night Charlie Fogarty will be on the "Ask The Pastor Now," radio program sharing much of the history of Texas that Christians and Baptists, in particular, played. In addition, the evening of the broadcast is also the anniversary of the Battle of Medina. Mr. Fogarty will share about this battle that was fought approximately 20 miles south of San Antonio de Bexar (modern-day downtown San Antonio, Texas) on August 18, 1813, as part of the Mexican War of Independence against Spanish authority in Mexico. If you want a fun, challenging and interesting evening, plan on listening to "Ask The Pastor Now" Thursday night on BlogTalkRadio at 7:30 PM Central Time.
