Construction Attorney Mark Schultz to Discuss Liabilities of Unlicensed Contractors

He will discuss risks to homeowners, as well as to general contractors, when someone is injured due to allegedly faulty construction by hiring unlicensed contractors.

Schultz handles personal injury cases in construction projects, as well as medical malpractice claims, giving him a broad background in understanding and analyzing construction cases and complex litigation such as product liability and medical malpractice. He also represents design professionals, general contractors and subcontractors suits in civil suits involving construction defects claims and in administrative complaints before the Board of Professional Engineers and the Board of Architecture and Interior Design. He also prepares construction and design professional contracts and handles lien law and collection matters.

Schultz frequently writes and speaks on design professional issues, including The Legal Environment for Design Professionals in a Greening World, Florida Lien Law for Design Professionals, Contract Management for Design Professionals, and Premises Liability Issues and Defense Issues in Negligent Security Cases. He is a member of the American Institute for Architects, Southwest Florida Chapter (AIA).
