The Cade Foundation Hosts 8th Annual Maryland Race for the Family & Family Fun Picnic September 22

GAITHERSBURG, Md. - Aug. 6, 2013 - PRLog -- The Tinina Q. Cade Foundation (TQCF), a nonprofit organization that serves the needs of families battling infertility is thrilled to announce their 8^th annual Maryland Race for the Family & Family Fun Picnic kicking off on Sunday, September 22^nd at 8 am at Seneca State Creek Park in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Participants of the family friendly 5k race and stroller derby can anticipate a fun-filled day of friendly competition, fellowship among local families as well as a complimentary picnic featuring activities by Savannah’s Playground for 2 to 8 year olds. Each registered race participant will be entered to win a free In Vitro Fertilization from Shady Grove Fertility Center. Interested parties also have the opportunity to fundraise prior to the event to earn additional raffle tickets for every $40 raised. All registration fees and donations will directly fund additional grants for families facing infertility.

TQCF was founded in 2005 to support and serve the needs of families facing infertility. The organization conducts education and outreach to families, and strives to inform outside communities about relevant and related issues. In addition, the TQCF also provides financial assistance to families pursuing infertility treatment or domestic adoption through the Tinina Q. Cade Foundation Family Building Grant. This dual approach distinguishes the foundation as the only organization of its kind in the nation.

“Very often, we have patients who want to know how they can give back; they are looking for a place to donate money to help other couples who struggle with the cost of infertility or adoption,” says Dr. Frank Chang, SGF board certified reproductive endocrinologist and active board member of the Cade Foundation. “Through the Cade Foundation, we have been able to open up a new pathway for previous patients who want to support other couples who are struggling with the disease.”

Ever committed to their mission, TQCF has previously funded IVF grants to dozen of families around the country and is striving to surpass previous years goals with their largest contributions yet.
