Among the highlights are a $1,000 shopping spree at Juicy Couture, a $500 gift card by Hamilton Jewelers, a chic leather wallet from Salvatore Ferragamo’s Fall/Winter 2013 Collection, an Emilio Pucci silk scarf, a silver/lacquer frame from Christofle, specially selected gifts from Island Company, Stubbs and Wootton, Alex and Ani, Mary Mahoney, Vilebrequin, Bice Ristorante anda getaway at the legendary Breakers Hotel. The Summer Soirée, featuring local band Jazz in Six will be held on Thursday, August 15th from 6-8 p.m. at Café Sapori. “We’re thrilled to have these wonderful brands support our cause! Our most successful events have been on the island because of Palm Beachers and the retailers on Worth Avenue,” says Carol Mulcahy, President of WPB Friends of Fisher House. In addition to boutiques on Worth Avenue, Palm Beach resident and artist Alyssa di Edwardo, donated an original work, "The Walk\"’ an oil/acrylic on canvas valued at $7,500. Other artists present at the event and donating works include local artist Bruce Helander and visiting Cuban artist Kadir Lopez Nieves. Other local sponsors include Big Time Restaurant Group, Chariots of Palm Beach and Private Jet Company. International sponsors donating to the cause include The Alpina Gstaad, Village Camps in Switzerland, Black River Caviar and SINTESSI by Michel Piranesi. Guests at the August 15th Endless Summer Soiree event at Café Saporiwill receive a generously stuffed swag bag courtesy of Frederic Fekkai Salon and Spa. The event is open to the public. A $20 minimum donation will include a complimentary drink, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and Chinese auction tickets. For guests who want to extend their evening at Café Sapori, the restaurant will donate 10% of proceeds from guests dining that evening to the West Palm Beach Friends of Fisher House. The Fisher House provides a home away from home for Veterans’ families to be close to their loved one during hospitalization for an illness, disease, or injury, by reducing or eliminating the cost of lodging. The West Palm Beach Veterans Affairs Medical Center Fisher House is centrally located on the Medical Center Campus. A two-story building built in 1995 with eight rooms, Fisher House can accommodate up to 16 guests. It is a home-like setting with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and living room with DVD and book libraries. All rooms offer flat screen televisions, laptops and wireless internet access. Toiletries, grocery items, snacks and small meals are provided for guests.
