Blood Donation Day at Novotel Century Hong Kong

Aug. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Novotel Century Hong Kong has organized a Blood donation Day in associated with Hong Kong Red Cross on 24 July 2013 from 2 pm to 6 pm at the hotel.

The Blood Donation Day has been organized at Novotel Century Hong Kong since 2008. There were 26 participants joined blood donation this year.

The volume of blood donated by donor is around 350-450 ml approximate to the volume on a can of soft drink.  A pint of blood can save around 3-4 people’s lives. In other words, the Blood Donation Day can save around 78-104 people’s lives.

Commented on the Donation Day, Jerome Stubert said, “Donating blood is our social responsibility. I encourage the employee to be part of the activities and I am proud that Blood Donation Day can be made as our regular community activity.”

Novotel Century Hong Kong is committed to serve the community.  The Blood Donation Day is one of the charity actions followed by a range of community activities: the Christmas party for children from single parent families (2002) and Douce France in Hong Kong (2003), Charity Christmas Buffet for senior citizens (2003- 2013), Tree Planting Day (2010-2013), Christmas Donation to Chi Heng Foundation (2010-2013) and Coins Donation to Chi Heng Foundation (2009).
