Follow on Google News | River View Ford Participates in Ford’s “Drive One 4 UR School” ProgramFord will be donating $20 per test drive to Oswego East High School during their fundraising event on August 23rd.
By: River View Ford Ford began the “Drive One 4 UR School” program in 2007 and has raised over $10 million as part of this initiative. The automaker recognized that educational budget cuts are happening all over the country, which forces schools to cut important programs or try to find a new source of funding. Ford chose to work at the local level to help empower communities that have been affected by the loss of valued educational programs. The money earned from “Drive One 4 UR School” events can be used by participating high schools in any area that are in need of support, such as athletics, art and music programs, or to fix damage caused by natural disasters. In addition to the success of the “Drive One 4 UR School” initiative, Ford recently celebrated their best July since 2006 and best retail sales since 2005. The automaker saw an increase in sales for this July of 11 percent compared to the same time period last year, and overall retail sales are up by 19 percent.
