Follow on Google News | ![]() Alexander Jules, a New Brand of Sherry, to Arrive to US this MonthBy: Alexander Jules Overlooked for decades and stereotyped as a cloyingly sweet grandma's drink, sherry wines, particularly the dry styles, are gaining popularity in the wine world, particularly in London, Tokyo, Moscow and New York. "The vast majority of sherries produced are dry and many are exceptionally complex, beautiful wines," stated Mr. Russan. "There is a tremendous range of styles of sherry and they are magnificent food wines. Also, they are some of the best values to be had in the wine world." Mr. Russan's wines will be released in California, his home state, later this month. His first releases will include an older Fino, a Manzanilla and an Amontillado. The official debut of Alexander Jules sherries will be in New York City at Sherryfest on October 5-8, and October 9-10 at the Toronto Sherryfest.
