Mother of Three With Rare Condition Needs Your Help To Get Home To Her Children in FloridaKristin has been diagnosed with a rare neurological condition that only one in 10,000,000 people get diagnosed with. It's called OMS - Opsoclonus Myoclonus Syndrome, caused by the GAD antibody which makes her the 3 case in history ever diagnosed with this specific illness.
They have no end in sight and no medical insurance to get her home. So I started by asking for 100 people to donate $180 to Medivac her to a Florida hospital. The little insurance they have will only transport her 100 miles and she has already been in a Colorado hospital for 3 weeks. So I am pleased to let you know that in a little over 27 hours, we emailed, posted, set up a website and received enough money to Fly Kristin Home! The plane is on the ground and fueled waiting for the green light from the doctors BUT WE HAVE HIT ANOTHER ROAD BLOCK. You can view my original press release here: http://prlog.org/ We cannot find a doctor in Florida that is experienced with OMS - Opsoclonus Myoclonus Syndrome. We are looking to transfer her to North Broward Medical Center on Sample Road and I-95. We have reached out to the CEO Pauline Grant who today is going to personally reach out to a doctor there to see if they can help. Another option and preferred one by the doctors in Colorado is to find someone at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida that will make an exception and take Kristin’s rare case. The commitment of our community coming together to help is shown and the donations are continuing to come in. The family is going to have an extreme amount of medical bills so we are still collecting for this great cause and will help get get her well and this amazing family back to normal. You can continue to make donations online at http://www.FlyKristinHome.com or call me to make other arrangements. I can be reached on my cell phone at 754-264-3738 if you have any additional questions or know someone that may be able to help. Let me know if you can help.
