IAOP, ISG to Honor Winner of 2013 Global Outsourcing Social Responsibility Impact Award

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Aug. 22, 2013 - PRLog --  Information Services Group® (ISG) , a leading technology insights, market intelligence and advisory services company along with the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP®), the global, standard-setting organization and advocate for the outsourcing profession, will honor Accenture this fall as the winner of its second annual IAOP/ISG Global Outsourcing Social Responsibility Impact Award.

The award will be presented to Accenture and accepted by Tom Pettit, Managing Director, BPO, North America at an ISG Sourcing Industry Conference, September 9, 2013 at the Westin Stonebriar (http://www.westinstonebriar.com/) in Dallas, Texas. In addition, ISG will make a cash donation in the name of Accenture to its chosen charity, Leonard Cheshire Disability.  David Whitmore, Vice Chair & President, ISG Americas will present the award along with Debi Hamill, CEO,  IAOP.

The award, established by IAOP and ISG, recognizes service provider excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The winner demonstrates exemplary leadership in, and ongoing commitment to, activities that foster community involvement, fair operating and labor practices, respect for human rights, attention to environmental impacts, consumer issues and good governance.

Accenture, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, was selected based on its overall excellence in a number of judging criteria: exemplary leadership in, and ongoing commitment to, activities that foster community involvement; fair operating and labor practices; respect for human rights; attention to environmental impacts; consumer issues; and good governance.

Accenture was selected from among applicants for the IAOP 2013 Global Outsourcing 100®. The independent judging panel, selected from IAOP’s Corporate Social Responsibility committee, was chaired by Dr. Bill Hefley of the University of Pittsburgh and ITSqc, LLC, and also included Ron Babin, COP, Ryerson University; Rita Soni, NASSCOM Foundation; Sarah Troup, Rockefeller Foundation; and Tim Hopper, Microsoft.
