GovComm Releases Mobile Hybrid DVR with GPS Tracking and Command Center Mapping

MIAMI - Aug. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- GovComm, Inc. announces the release of its mobile DVR / NVR that provides pinpoint location accuracy in a command center environment.  The hybrid DVR employs a fourth-generation video surveillance platform enabling flexibility to design solutions tailored to unique requirements reducing complexity, expanding functionality and lowering costs of deployment.  Operators can create policies allowing the inherent value of the video, as a source of information, to be used by other safety and security applications, as well as other nontraditional business applications.

GovComm command center mapping software enables location of assets and real-time viewing through traditional and mobile broadband providers.  Whether GovComm customers have a fleets of buses, trains, trucks or other vehicles, GovComm provides real-time tracking and monitoring.

GovComm is also fitting the mobile hybrid DVR for school buses by placing high definition cameras and motion sensors on the outside of the bus to identify vehicles passing illegally while the stop arm is extended and children are loading or unloading.  GovComm’s eCop 24/7 software captures a video clip of the passing vehicle along with superimposed images of the license plate and provides this information to law enforcement.  If law enforcement confirms an infraction, a violation is issued to the owner of the vehicle.

The significance of employing a hybrid DVR in a mobile environment is the ability to employ high definition mega-pixel cameras that can capture better license plate images that are processed using our license plate recognition (LPR) software.  GovComm LPR software achieves success rates exceeding 99%
