GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. - Aug. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Despite many politicians mistaken claims that climate change is a fantasy, we can all bear witness to the increasing severe weather patterns in the United States writes social media guru, James Rickman iHuman Evolution. But severe weather patterns alone are not the only issue that weighs on the long term health of our economy. Population challenges also present America with rising economic dependency (59 per 100 working 2005 versus 79 per 100 working 2050) (http://pewsocialtrends.org/files/2010/10/85.pdf) reports Pew Research Center. In writing this article on climate change, I found overwhelming evidence that points to an immediate need to address the issues which are directly connected i.e. the population explosion, economics and climate change as reported by NASA scientist, James Hansen.

By 2020, Earth’s population will hit eight billion; a figure most scientists believe is not sustainable given the current resources available. This drain on resources is further exacerbated when we consider the environmental warming in places like North America that is economically impacted by climate change reports Mr. Rickman. Sure technology can play a big role making clean water more plentiful or producing clean energy but the likelihood of gaining widespread political support needed for implementation of these plans is a cumbersome and inefficient process that may come to late comments Dr. James Martin, Oxford University.  (http://www.oxfordmartin.ox.ac.uk/videos/view/218)

Given the challenges we face there is no doubt based upon my research that the United States must pass a CARBON TAX comments Mr. Rickman. By most accounts a carbon tax at a cost of $22 per ton would generate between $125 billion to $195 billion annually in the United States. The estimated $1.8 Trillion revenue derived from a carbon tax is beneficial in reducing the Federal debt and much needed upgrades of the U.S. infrastructure during the next ten years.
