The Tabernacle Church Is Giving Away Free Book Bags & School Supplies at South Plainfield Parade

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, N.J. - Aug. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- The Tabernacle Church is always looking for ways to serve South Plainfield and its adjacent areas. On Monday, September 2nd, at the South Plainfield Middle School fairgrounds, Tabernacle Church volunteers will be giving away free book bags filled with school supplies to local residents and members of the community.

“I will be at the parade so I can learn from residents how we can better serve their needs. Our church is always filled with joy when we have the chance to partner with the town in ensuring that members of the community are not just surviving, but thriving,” said De’Andre Salter, Senior Pastor of The Tabernacle Church.

Volunteers will be distributing book bags filled with notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons, folders, and a host of other supplies necessary for children to have a successful school year. Valuing the role that education plays in each child’s life, The Tabernacle sees this as an opportunity to help children in the South Plainfield community achieve excellence during the 2013-2014 school year. As supplies are limited, they will only be provided on a first come, first served basis.
