Open-Source Software Developers to Compete in Electronic Health Record Extension ChallengeThe VistA Extension Hub is presenting the VistA Extension Challenge 2.0
JUNO BEACH, Fla. - Aug. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Developers working on improvements and extensions to VISTA, the premiere open source electronic health record (EHR) software, will compete for prestige and prizes in the second annual VistA Extensions Challenge. Members of the VistA open-source community can submit entries, and vote in the Challenge, until October 22nd, 2013. The votes will be tallied, and prizes awarded, at the upcoming 2013 VISTA Expo & Symposium, to be held at the Seattle Airport Marriott from October 22-25, 2013.
The VistA Extensions Challenge 2.0 has attracted major sponsorships this year, from DSS, Inc., GR8PM, GT.M, mGateway, OSEHRA, Open Health News, Oroville Hospital, and the VISTA Expertise Network, hosts of the VISTA Expo & Symposium. The Challenge is hosted at the VistA Extension Hub www.ThevxHub.org. The Extensions Hub provides the developers community participating in the challenge with resources, including webinars on Agile methodology, using the EWD in developing VISTA extensions, and how to submit extensions to the OSEHRA open source repository. The VISTA Expo & Symposium will be held October 22-25, 2013 in Seattle, Washington, hosted by the non-profit VISTA Expertise Network.
