We need to be proactive and involved to draw veterans into the workforce which begins by developing their professional network. LinkedIn is a great platform for veterans to connect with businesses and other veterans. Through thought-provoking excerpts and open dialogue, experience how volunteerism, community service and a compassion for humanity can help shape your career, bring deeper meaning to your life path and enlighten your soul! Later, veterans can enjoy hors d'oeuvres while networking with each other to build connections for greater opportunities. These local community organizations will be present our Job Fair to increase awareness of resources available for veterans: NYS Department of Labor, Albany Stratton VA Medical Center (VA Women’s Program and the Veterans Service Center), The Chamber of Southern Saratoga County, Capital District Women's Employment & Resource Center (WERC), US Small Business Administration, and Stars for Our Troops.
