Lakeside Dental’s Dr. Janet Century announces 20 year anniversary

Sept. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- North Barrington, IL -Lakeside Dental announced they would be celebrates 20 years with Dr. Janet Century. An open house and technology demonstration occurred on Saturday, July 13th, 2013 and attracted a crowd of over 200.

This event had two aspects; to showcase the changes that have taken place in leading edge of dentistry and a party to celebrate the past with food, drink, visits from the tooth fairy, and other amusements.

Among the technologies available for demonstration were dental microscopes, computer-aided delivery of anesthetic, on-site computer manufactured final crowns (CEREC), secure electronic patient record management, advances in oral cancer screening, and a breakthrough in laser technologies that can prevent many people with gum disease-induced bone loss from having to need dentures.

Dr. Century said "About the only things that has remained the same since I left dental school is people's anatomy. Things that were considered to be impossible in dental school are now being done every day. To me, this shows the importance of staying current with both technology and ongoing education."
