Kempton Reopen Panoramic Bar & Restaurant

Sept. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- On Wednesday the 28^th of August the Panoramic Bar & Restaurant at Kempton Park (http://www.kempton.co.uk/) reopened for evening racing, offering visitors some of the most spectacular views available anywhere in UK horse racing.

Just 16 miles from the centre of London, the famous racecourse’s restaurant is offering a brand new menu created by Jockey Club Catering’s executive chef Frazer Wilson. Race goers on the 28^th were treated to specially designed dishes – including antipasti, seafood, and pork platters  for sharing, perfect for a collective trip on race days. All dishes at the restaurant are individually priced, with starters beginning at £5.50.

This has been a large investment for one of the busiest racecourses in Europe, a refurbishment that means the luxury venue now features an informal drinking area with a wide array of international beers including Duvel and Timmermans strawberry beer. Race goers can walk in on race days – there’s no need to book – but anyone wanting to pre-book can do so in addition.

“Our aim is to provide race goers with an extensive choice of dishes made with the finest ingredients sourced from local suppliers where ever possible,’ said Phil White, Kempton Park’s General Manager. ‘Our new menu, alongside the excellent choice of beers and wines, and the refurbishments to the Panoramic Bar & Restaurant will ensure we can offer an excellent location to enjoy great racing and special occasions all year round.”

The Panoramic Bar & Restaurant is welcoming to corporate guests or individuals, and with 100 days of racing a year the venue is always buzzing. 400 seats are provided in the luxurious restaurant, with impeccable standards of service and cooking and unbeatable views of the North Downs and the Esher and Oxshott ridge.

Kempton Park is accessible from London Waterloo and has been an active racecourse since 1878, meaning it is one of the staple venues on the racing calendar. Open music events are hosted in the summer months and its most popular event, the William Hill Winter Festival, takes place on the 26^th and 27^th of December.
