Follow on Google News | ![]() Ford Will Be Auctioning the 2014 Mustang Cobra Jet For CharityIn order to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Ford will be selling the 2014 Mustang Cobra Jet prototype at Barret-Jackson Las Vegas.
By: River View Ford The winning bidder will acquire the 2014 Mustang Cobra Jet prototype along with a host of other prizes, including training at Roy Hill’s Drag Racing School, a tour of the Ford Product Development Center, the experience captured in a Mustang book or documentary, and a video of the vehicle’s build, testing, and the auction itself. The winner will also become an honorary member of Team Mustang. The 2014 Mustang Cobra Jet is powered by a 5.0L supercharged V8 engine that’s mated to a T4 racing transmission. The Cobra Jet prototype also comes outfitted with an optional traction “wheelie” bar, exclusive branded Weld wheels, custom Cobra Recaro interior seating, and a nine-inch rear axle. This high-performance prototype is NHRA-legal and will provide healthy competition in the racing scene. During the auction, Ford will also be providing the public with the opportunity to participate in a Ride-and-Drive event, as well as a hot-laps experience at the Mandalay Bay event center. Vehicles making an appearance at the hot-laps experience include the Shelby GT500, Fiesta ST, Focus ST, Boss 302 Mustang, and the GT500 Super Snake.
