DURHAM, N.C. - Sept. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- Women living with dementia will soon have a new place to call home in Durham, NC.  A ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, October 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., will officially open the doors of Autumn’s Way Care Home in Durham, North Carolina.

The uniqueness of Autumn’s Way is it’s intimacy, according to Owner/Administrator, Jennifer Albright.  She says, “We want to provide the kind of atmosphere that gives all the comforts of home as well as a place where residents feel safe and cared for.”  The home has six private rooms and will offer 24-hour care for up to six women.  Future plans include creating an organic garden and orchard, household pets and learning opportunities for both the local community and academic centers in the area.

For Albright, this is her dream come true.  She says, “I’ve been wanting to do this for a few years and was finally able to put the pieces together with the collaboration of friends and experts in the assisted living industry.”  Albright says she can’t say thank you enough to Ann Marie Cassella, of Lynn’s Care Village in Raleigh, who offered her expertise and knowledge to the project.

Durham Mayor Bill Bell and the Durham Chamber of Commerce will be a part of the ribbon cutting ceremony.  Autumn’s Way Care Home will begin accepting residents in late Fall of this year.

For more information, contact Jennifer Albright at 919-402-0442.
