Hae Bang Chon Fall Festival 2013 - In The Serious Moonlight. Oct. 17,18, and 19th.

HAE BANG CHON, South Korea - Sept. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- It is time again to watch the summer heat fade away into the South Seas, as the trees drop the leaves upon us, and the Hae Bang Chon Fall Festival. (H.B.C. Fest for short) October 17,18, and 19th. This Fall the street called Hae Bang Chon (Yongsan 2 Ga) will once again bring some great local and international talent to it’s bars and restaurants. Over the years this early folk styled festival has grown into an anticipated much awaited event, by HBC business owners and patrons alike. The theme for this fall presents us with a hefty mixture of rock bands, singer songwriter, folk muso’s, and sparkled with the DEELEEBOB Music guitar raffle, open to anyone and, you may purchase raffle tickets W2,000 or $2.00 at V.F.W., Phillies, and Orange Tree during the month of September right up to and including the festival date..

The venue’s that are lined up to sport HBC stages are :
VFW, Phillies Upstairs and downstairs, FIX Pub, Orange Tree, Bonny’s Pizza, Hungry Dog, Camarata Studio,.

Supporting businesses/entities are :
Jacoby’s, Casablanca Sandwich, Indigo, Graphtech, Olympia Strings and Straps, PG Music, SD amps, Swing Guitars, DEELEEBOB Music, Burgermine, Whitby fish & chips, Despresso, and Matto Restaurant.

A brief overview for the Hae Bang Chon Festival (2 times per year) has the stages and performers looking something like this; The smaller places host a solo stage for acoustic players, singer songwriter, and duos.

Orange tree will host bands with drums, as well as acoustic and some trio activity. Notably the Orange Tree will host the open stage entitled “Wings and Strings” on October 17^th, with John Valentine, to open the stage for music the night before HBC springs to life. All players welcome to jam or preview weekend performances, and the chicken wings are on special.

During the HBC event the actors from Seoul City Improv and the actors from the upcoming “Nightmare before Christmas” play, will be putting on a "Haunted Ghost Tour of HBC".” They promise laffs and scares for HBC goers!” says actress Susan Morgan.

Upstairs Phillies will be solo acoustic performances hosted by ‘Earl’, the basement of Phillies will once again crack it off on Friday night the 18^th with 2 or 3 band performances, and of course for most of the day on the 19^th into the night with a mix of Rock, blues, folk rock and Kimchi.

V.F.W bar will remain the Rock venue and all of it’s electric guitar driven formats with the show a starting at 9pm on the 18^th and 6pm on the 19^th  going until 1am on both dates. Bonny’s Pizza will host it’s semi open air venue to all of the neighborhood, showcasing about six performances. Hungry Dog also will have it’s relaxed but comfortable stage happening all day long, and FIX Pub intends again to fill the shop and it’s balcony with some very fine singer songwriters and performers with intended performance times from 4pm until 11pm.keeping the top end of the street well entertained. All of the venues provide performers with mic’s, sound system, amplifiers, and drum sets for band venues. The artist only needs to bring instruments, cables, and effects.

Festival food and activities with owners opening their business will start around 12:00 Noon and continue from there, the music starts at 3pm on the 19^th with the last act finishing probably around 2am. This doesn’t mean the party has to stop, just the music. Expected specials, Phillies BBQ, Indigo restaurant festival deals and drink specials, Casablanca Sandwich will serve up some great food for this event they usually make a special effort for fest goers. Jacoby’s will once again bring out their Jager drink special and of course their tempting menu with all it’s homemade goodness. Hungry Dog will have their new menu ready to go, in fast café style. And all balconies in HBC will be home to fest goers who want a sit down and relax with a beverage.

A big thank-you to the local Yongsan Police and the Chief of Police for helping keep this event safe, and keeping the traffic flowing in HBC during festival time. Various pub owners offer relief to tiring peace officers during the fest with water, beverages or snacks. Please be kind to the officers, they are there to help.

The Hae Bang Chon Fall Festival is slated for October 18^th and 19^th 2013 and will start at 9pm on the 18^th and at 3pm on the 19th.
