United Premier Soccer League Kicks Off 2013/14 Campaign

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. - Oct. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Santa Ana, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) announced today that it is kicking off its 2013 UPSL Season this Saturday October 5, 2013 with six games slated throughout Southern California.

United Premier Soccer League Commissioner Leonel Lopez commented, “We are very excited to kick-off the 2013/14 UPSL Season this Saturday as we have worked hard during the off-season to grow the league and at the same time build up the level of play by adding new quality teams from different communities here in Southern California.”

UPSL Action Kicks Off with Season Openers across Southern California Saturday!

Lopez continued, “This season, we will kick-off with twelve teams under one table and ultimately a UPSL champion will be crowned in March 2014 when the season concludes. We are anticipating adding several new teams for the 2014/15 campaign as we would like to see over 20 teams set for play for next season. We are also very focused on league sponsorship opportunities that are developing along with making sure our member teams not only win on the field but off the field as well. Developing and supporting team operations and team sponsorships will continue to be in the forefront as we believe that supporting our team members is vital for the continued success and future growth of our league. We wish all our UPSL teams and organizations the best of success this season both on and of the field and look forward to naming our new 2013/4 UPSL Champion.”

The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is in its third season as a league and we are a member of Cal South. We are officially affiliated with both Cal South and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA). The UPSL currently has 12 teams all in the South West with a projected 20 plus teams in 2014/15. The league is focused on league sponsorship's to grow the league and increase the quality of play. The UPSL is also focused on supporting its team members both on the operations and sponsorship side of the business. The UPSL’s regular season currently runs from October through March making it one of the few professionally run soccer leagues in the United States that runs through winter.
