RBP Receives 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant

Project Y.E.S.S. (Youth Empowered for Success and Service) Academy, a 21st Century Community Learning Centers Afterschool Program, funded by the N.C. Department of Public Instruction.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. - Oct. 7, 2013 - PRLog -- This FREE S.T.E.M. (Science Technology Engineering and Math) focused afterschool program will assist children in increasing their reading and math skills, enhance their social and behavior skills, and participate in exciting S.T.E.M. projects designed to boost S.T.E.M. student interest.  Students will be assigned tutors and mentors where applicable.  The program will feature low staff/student ratios; nutritious snacks daily; transportation provided as required. This program will also offer exciting field trips, parental empowerment and school engagement workshops.

The program will serve approximately 65 students who meet the selection criteria and attend one of the following schools:

North Drive, Carver Heights, School Street and Dillard Middle
