Quality Life Center receives donation from Arthrex to support at-risk youth

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Oct. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Quality Life Center received a $5000 donation from Arthrex to support its youth development programs. The center’s youth programs provide academic enrichment, arts instruction and leadership activities to help at-risk youth gain confidence, discipline and the ability to persevere despite obstacles.  The program provides interactive educational activities while promoting leadership and instilling values which will serve youth into adulthood. Character development has been shown to help raise achievement levels among children with stressors such as growing up in high crime neighborhoods, in poverty and around people with mental health and substance abuse issues. Children in Quality Life Center’s program receive consistent messages which reflect positive values such as honesty, integrity and the pursuit of excellence.

Quality Life Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization transforming the community by developing the potential of underserved populations in southwest Florida with adult job development training, an early learning program and youth development programs including afterschool and summer camp programs.
