Thanksgiving in the New England Food Festival, part of the America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration. The best part is guests can enjoy the fruits of the battle and sample the competition for only $12, $7.00 for children 6-12 and children under 5 are free. “Culinary experts from all over the area will bring their best food culinary creations to the New England Food Festival,” said America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration Executive Director Olly deMacedo. “Not only is the competition fun to watch, but the tasty food from the 20 competitors is great to enjoy.” The title of best soups, chowders, desserts, party foods, entrees and booth design will all be decided in the one day culinary festival. The event takes place on Saturday, November 23 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Plymouth Waterfront. Judges are the International Culinary Judge Chef Mickey Beriau of White Cliffs Country Club; A guest judge from Johnson and Wales University, Linkie Marais, Lifestyle Expert and Celebrity Chef; and special guest judge featured on the Food Network; Chef Raymond Alongi Décor Judges include Kelly Dolloff Design Expert and owner of Artistic Blossoms, Designer Patrick Langone of Integrated Body Spirit, Everett Hoag of Fountain Street Creative and Michele Stump Managing Partner of East Meets West Catering and board member of the MA Restaurant Association. “We are excited to have some very high profile judges at the New England Food Festival,” said deMacedo. “Plus we are going to also be featuring an amazing display depicting Vintage Americana Style.” The region’s best bakers are going to compete in a taste and design style competition. Each baker will be asked to make a vintage dessert display of their best confection. They will be judged on taste and style. The 2013 New England Food Festival will include live Americana style music.
